Andrea received his PhD in Computer Science from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in 2013 with a thesis entitled: "A comprehensive framework for the rapid prototyping of ubiquitous interaction". His research activities mainly concern Ubiquitous Computing, focusing on technological issues. In 2005 he was selected to attend the IBM's EMEA Top Students Recognition Event in Bobligen, Germany. He received a research grant (2006) from CATTID (Centro per le Applicazioni della Televisione e delle Tecniche di Insegnamento a Distanza, "Sapienza" Universitá di Roma) and ORACLE Italia s.r.l. for carrying out Advanced research activities on RFID technology applications.
