More co-design workshops with children in Madrid

Assessing 'Embodied Narratives' in the school setting of Colegio Principes de Asturias.

Embodied Narratives is a co-design technique for social games developed at the DEI Lab (UC3M). It enables to explore children’s potential interactions with and around social technology through rapid and iterative co-creative cycles that combine physical manipulation of ‘ready-made’ objects and improvisational performance.

After initial workshops in domestic settings, this summer we have experimented Embodied Narratives in the school setting of Colegio Principes de Asturias in Madrid. We have also started to assess and compare how different gender groups respond to the technique.

We are working on the findings of this summer workshops, and planning to run comparable studies in different locations outside of Spain to validate the approach.
