Mohammad Hajarian is an Assistant Professor at the Computer Science Department of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He is a member of the DEI Interactive Systems research group (dei.inf.uc3m.es) and director of the Gegli social network since 2003 (formerly known as Gohardasht.com). He received his B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the Payame Noor University of Karaj in 2012, his M.Sc. in Software Engineering from Staffordshire University in 2014, and his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the Islamic Azad University of Karaj in 2018. In 2017 he was awarded as the best researcher of Islamic Azad University of Karaj. He was also recognized by Iran’s National Elites Foundation as a Superior Graduate and awarded as the Superior Youth in 2018. His research fields are Online Social Networks, Gamification, Human-computer Interaction, Personalization, User Engagement, Online advertisement, and Data Science.
