Projects

Objectives:

The overall aim of the MAGICoutFIT project is to design novel wearable technology integrating sensory feedback and tailored to end-user needs to alter body perceptions in populations with body concerns in order to promote their mental and physical health.

O1. To provide tools that allow identifying people with body perception factors that interfere with healthy behaviour and profiling these people in terms of individual factors that may interact with the main effect of sensory feedback at various levels.

O2. To investigate the tailoring of the sensory feedbacks and the technology to change specific body perception qualities related to body capabilities (e.g. perceptions of strength or flexibility), according to individual factors, in populations in which these body perceptions are distorted (physical inactive users, dancers), and its impact on motor behaviour and emotional state, both in control studies and in real-life context of use.

O3. To investigate the tailoring of the sensory feedbacks and the technology to change specific body perception qualities related to body appearance (body image; e.g. body size, shape), according to individual factors, in populations in which these body perceptions are distorted (populations with EDs, dancers), and its impact on motor behavior and emotional state, both in control studies and in real-life context of use.
