CHIC

The goal of the CHIC games is to disseminate knowledge on NPBTs applied to chicory for younger students (K7-K12). Novel technologies such as AR and VR and games are used to engage them in exploring and interacting to learn about the benefits of genetic modification, the techniques used and the main concepts involved in this domain. Motivating and challenging learning activities are embedded in the games to support both knowledge acquisition and experiential learning. Two games are being developed: CHIC Bubbles uses VR to explore concepts related with NPBTs and molecular manipulation of plants myCHICFarm is an AR game based on MS Hololens where players can grow their own chicory crops and make the most money out them reacting to different random events that can affect the quality or price of crops
